Bringing Life Back to the Land
The farm and ranch is in the process of converting the land from conventional agriculture to perennial pasture, forest and restoration sites. Before the ranch, the land was used for grass seed production and relied heavily on chemical fertilizer, pesticides and tillage. We decided that we needed a large grazing animal to help convert the land into healthy pasture and forest as well as riverfront and stream restoration. The pigs and bison help us revive the lands microbiome and biodiversity through managed grazing, and we help the land by our commitment to organic practices and no chemical fertilizers.
