Bison Shares
We are now offering bison shares! You can purchase a whole, half or quarter animal. We harvest throughout the year. If you’re interested in a bison share, please use our Contact Us form. We can discuss harvest dates and answer any questions you may have about the process.

Our animals are 100% grass-fed.
Prices: $8.00/lb hanging weight – WHOLE, $8.50/lb hanging weight – QUARTERS/HALVES + butcher fees (paid directly to 4-Star Butcher shop) around $1/lb.
We ask that you pay a $500 non-refundable deposit to reserve your animal. This can be cash, check mailed to the farm or we can email you a digital invoice to reserve your animal. The best way to communicate with us is through our Contact Grateful Bison form.
Hanging weights: Hanging weights vary throughout the year depending on the size of the animal. Our approximate hanging weights are 500-600lbs. Hanging weight is how much the animal weighs at the time of slaughter, before cutting, which involves the removal of the hide, head, legs and entrails. This means the yield you take home from the butcher shop will be less than the hanging weight due to several factors such as shrink form hanging (moisture loss), trim from the cutting process, and amount of bones you choose to take home.
Approximate Freezer Space: Quarter: 2 Banana boxes, 4 cubic feet. Half: 3 Banana boxes, 6 cubic feet, Whole: 6 banana boxes, 12 cubic feet.
Butcher: We use 4-Star Butcher Shop in Eugene. You will communicate your cut preferences to them via telephone and will pick up your meat directly from their butcher shop. You will pay the farm for the hanging weight and pay the butcher shop the cut and wrap fees.
